The educational process in Sri Lanka underwent various changes and missionary schools were established in Sri Lanka under the educational reform that took place with the arrival of the British. Accordingly, Gampola St. Joseph’s Girls’ College was established in 1903 as a missionary school. Since then, our college, which has been rendering exceptional service to future generations, was taken over by the government in 1961 and with the mission of socializing virtuous and wise daughters has laid a solid foundation.
